Part of this journey has been navigating life events and changes and still staying active and eating on my plan. I have to say I have been successful in some situations but in others I have not done well at all. This last month or so has been gain gain gain. And I don’t like this feeling. I’ve been on vacation all week and go again next week and have been eating and drinking freely and I feel crappy because of it. In my mind I was just going to continue that until my vacations were over but for me that can be a lot of extra weight and a lot of feeling badly about myself. So last night and this morning in bed I decided I was going to do my best to stick to the plan without being super rigid but very mindful for the next vacation. I can do this with the right mind set, the right food choices and an effort to move as much as possible.
We’ve had a great week here and it was so nice to be out in the sun and swimming. Henry came so far in the pool, I am so proud of him!
I also got to spend some quality time with my niece, Ava. My brother and my sister in law are coming in town today to pick her up. They are staying for two weeks, so it will be good to see them. They just purchased their first home, moved in, and then got in a car to head here from Houston. They miss their girl. She is very missable.
Ava and I went to this place called Monsoon Lagoon and I did things I never would’ve done to this journey, such as going down a water slide, riding bumper boats, walking around in my bathing suit and basically every thing we did! Ha ha. I started this journey so I could be the best me that I could be, but more specifically the best mom. I want to be able to do those things with Henry, so I need to continue on this road to health and fitness.
